An Intercultural Approach to Gender-based Violence Prevention (GBVP) in Newcomer Communities

Dear Community Contacts,

I'd like to invite to our next Service Providers Workshop about Gender-Based Violence Prevention and newcomer communities, which will be held on Monday, June 10th from 1-4pm at the YMCA Centre for Immigrant Programs.

The workshop raises awareness about GBV in newcomer communities and discusses preventative actions taken to support newcomers.

The half-day workshop will include light refreshments and the opportunity to network together. There is a flyer attached to this email that outlines more information about the workshop. Please circulate this opportunity widely to your networks.

Thanks,

Zahra Dhubow

Gender-based Violence Prevention Project Facilitator

How does a guy make a woman feel safe especially emotionally? In the intial stages of attraction how does this come into play? What about later?
