Meet The Team

Jamie (he/him) - Executive Director
Jamie brings with him over 14 years of progressive non-profit leadership. Having experience in operations, Board governance, fund development, community engagement, program development, as well as marketing and communications, Jamie had developed a proven track record of growing organizational capacity. He is originally from Cape Breton where he attended Cape Breton University in the Bachelor of Arts in Community Studies program, which is also where he developed his passion for supporting those in the vulnerable sector. He then moved to Toronto to attend Toronto Metropolitan University (formally Ryerson University) as a graduate in their Gerontology program. Following his return home to the Maritimes, he made a career shift into the non-profit sector. Having worked with organizations such as the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame, Hospice Fredericton, the Colchester Sexual Assault Centre and the Truro Pride Society, he has helped numerous non-profits reach their full potential. In addition to his fundraising and marketing experience, he has also worked with numerous Boards to create highly engaged teams of both staff and volunteers. Jamie also brings with him a great compassion for those in need of support. Whether it is supporting those struggling with a diagnosis of dementia, motivating underprivileged children to become active in their community through sport and education, coping with end-of-life, harmful experiences with marginalization or those experiencing trauma from sexual violence – Jamie is a passionate advocate for those needing support and a voice.
